The Dow Chemical Company’s products support creation of (among other things) plastics, crop treatments, water purification systems, pharmaceuticals, and adhesives. It’s Monsanto all over again – why, Chemical is actually in the company’s name! Because chemicals always do more harm than good, Dow Chemical should be punished for their crimes against humanity. Conveniently, there’s a $1.62 trillion shortfall in the 2011 federal budget – let’s see how Dow likes the Sherrod Brown approach to deficits!
Now Soaking: The Dow Chemical Company
- Reuters lists Dow CEO Andrew Liveris’s compensation as $21,337,800. Liveris has been working for Dow since 1976, so he’s got enough money. His $21,337,800 will be much better spent by Sherrod Brown and Barack Obama!
- Dow’s 2010 income statement lists $481,000,000 in corporate income taxes. Dow’s net income was more than four times that amount! Let’s take another $481,000,000, to preserve Sherrod and Barry’s rip-roaring economic recovery.
- All said and done, doubling The Dow Chemical Company’s corporate income taxes and taking their CEO’s pay will reduce the 2011 U.S. budget deficit from $1,620,000,000,000 to $1,619,497,662,200.
Fear not: a punishing tax hike on chemicals supporting water treatment, agriculture, and other industries won’t increase the cost of water, food, or anything else! None of Dow’s 49,505 employees will lose their jobs if Sherrod Brown and Barack Obama work their not-at-all-socialist magic. Last and least, the only funds & individuals holding any of Dow’s 1.18 billion outstanding shares of stock who suffer will be the ones who deserve to.
We, The People who support Sherrod Brown’s fiscal policies, hold these leftist conceits to be self-evident.
